Client Journey
What makes ACS Telford unique is our customer-focused journey.
At ACS Telford we are meticulous when planning your project. To achieve this we follow a structured format to ensure your customer journey is flawless. We follow 6 industry conducive steps to ensure that we maintain the best standard of service, which allows us to cover every area in detail.
Let's delve into the six steps that will lead to the completion of your project:

Design
Where the program allows and if required, a full survey can be carried out prior to modelling.
The benefit of the survey is that it will reduce risk, help with coordination and interfacing reducing the time and reworks onsite.
Using Tekla 3D modelling software we import the Consulting Engineers IFC model for our general layout incorporating any Value Engineering options that we feel would benefit the project.
We produce general arrangements drawings for Client approval. Once approved more detailed drawings are produced together with a detailed model to for CAD/CAM manufacture. Requirements for brackets, holes and the like for other trades are easily accommodated at this stage.
The benefits are a fully coordinated design and more certainty in terms of interfaces and installation.
We take the reaction forces supplied by the Consulting Engineers and design the optimum connections. If at this stage, we feel there are any benefits to either increasing section sizes to reduce fabrication or reducing section sizes to reduce weight or even changing to a different section type, we will make this proposal to the Engineer.
This VE benefits the project in terms of cost and time savings, further driving down overall durations. We will design for pre-assembly as far as practicable thus reducing installation durations and risks.

From the detailed 3D model, all phasing and lotting is planned to suit Clients on-site requirements. The benefits are confirmed delivery dates and erectable loads minimising the installation footprint required.
This also allows us to release phases before the 3D model is fully completed in order to better programme requirements.

Procurement
All our steel is fully processed from the electronic NC data produced from the Tekla model. This reduces the chance of errors and provides complete traceability in terms of a CE marking paper trail (BSEN-ISO-1090-2)
From the preliminary model at design stage we can provide an initial material list to both secure materials and fix the prices, assisting programme stability and cost certainty.
All fixings are ordered at the same stage as the steelwork according to the NC data. They are then managed through our QA processes and cross-referenced with the detailed drawing and material lists and delivered with each relevant load to ensure there are no missing parts on site.
This ensures the fixings are supplied early, mitigating any potential risks and associated delays of not being on site at the point of installation.

Manufacture
Delivery to our central UK workshops in Telford are planned and scheduled to ensures consistent production enabling manufacturing to be carried out efficiently to meet your targets.
All fabrication is to BS EN ISO 1090 execution class 2 meeting the highest possible standards and quality. Our experienced fabricators are highly skilled and motivated to delivery a quality product.

Treatment
Our highly motivated supply chain is as driven as we are to deliver to the highest possible standards within their market sectors. We have developed framework relationships with preferred suppliers benefiting quality, programme certainty and cost certainty.

Our dedicated team of installers and erectors are all qualified to the very highest standards. We have enviable relationships with our crane and plant hire suppliers.
We work in a fit once culture to minimise reworks and snagging. Where interface issues arise on site, our erectors take pride in coming up with solutions, interfacing with our works and utilising our unique fast track system for change to ensure we maintain your programme and handover dates.
Where we can, we procure our own plan where this is not practical we hire in from trusted sources from within our supply chain.
We only us reputable crane hire and whenever possible we use a contract lift.
